Lebialem Cultural and Development Association Montreal her in referred as LECDA – Montreal is a not-for-profit socio-cultural organization that was created in 2007. “Lebialem” is a geographical area in the South West Region of Cameroon. Its membership constitutes people and friends from Lebialem area by birth, marriage or affiliation resident in the greater Montreal area in Canada. Although our mandate at the beginning was to promote cultural heritage and traditional practices of the Lebialem people within its members and to other cultural communities in Montreal and its surrounding cities, it was later on extended to include helping immigrants by facilitating their integration in Quebec in particular and in Canada in general.
